Advanced Placement Information
In addition to a number of perfect “5” scores, OLCHS also annually celebrates students recognized for high scores on multiple tests, known as AP Scholars.
National AP Scholars: The highest honor for having an average score of at least a 4 on the 5-point scale as well as scores of 4 or higher on eight or more exams.
AP Scholars with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
AP Scholar with Honors: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
AP Scholars: Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
Oak Lawn Community High School offers 20+ different AP level courses which allow students a collegiate-level experience as well the opportunity to earn college credit.
