Stuff You Need to Know
From the nurse’s office:
All freshmen must provide the health office with their ninth-grade physical examination and record of vaccinations before October 15th to prevent being excluded from school. Additionally, all seniors must provide the health office a copy of their meningococcal vaccine record before October 15th to prevent being excluded from school. These two requirements are state mandated. Please stop by the nurse’s office if you have any questions.
The Homecoming dance is Saturday, September 28. Tickets ($25 each) will be on sale online at the OLCHS Web Store the week before the dance, September 23-27.
If you plan to bring a non-OLCHS guest, you need to return a signed Guest Request Form to the Deans' Office by TODAY Thursday, September 19. Blanks forms are available in the Media Center, outside the Deans' Office & on the school website. See Mrs. Sidlow, if you have questions.
Summer isn’t over yet! During all lunch periods next Tuesday September 24th you can buy a SNOW CONE! The Kona snow cone truck will be visiting as a fundraiser to help support the Music Department’s Spring trip to Disney! The Klassic is $4, the King is $5, the Color Changing Cup is $6 and the Kowabunga is $6. Get your frozen treat in the last days of the summer heat!
Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2024-25 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123. If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.

The iTeam Genius Bar is open from 7:45 am - 3:00 pm. Students can come to the Media Center for support.
Club/Team News
Bible Club - Just a reminder that our next Bible Club meeting is TODAY Thursday, September 19th right after school in room 212. We will be doing our first Bible study, we will have snacks, and we will be discussing our first events of the semester. We will be discussing the event “See you at the Pole” which is on Wednesday, September 25th. Also - we have booked our first service field trip to Feed My Starving Children on Thursday, October 24th and will be passing out field trip forms too. We would love to have you join us. Anyone is welcome.
Graphic Design Club - Graphic Design Club will meet on Tuesday, September 24th at 3pm in room 146, all are welcome! See Mrs. Hartmann in room 146 for more information.
Student Council / Cheer / Spartan Screamers - This is a reminder to turn in your Dash for Den signed permission form & $10 donation to Mrs. Sidlow in the Media Center by Wednesday, September 25. Spots are filling up fast. Student Council is buying Plush Horse ice cream afterward!

Any sophomore, junior or senior interested in joining the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or National Guard) OR interested in exploring more career options for after high school, you need to take the ASVAB exam. It will be given on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. You must register ahead of time. No cost to test.
