Welcome back Spartans. Who loves ice cream? We will have Rainbow Ice Cream Trucks TODAY, Tuesday August 27th during all lunch periods. A cone or cup is $7, single scoop $6. Many flavors are available. Nothing better than ice cream on a hot summer day! Debt cards, credit cards, apple pay, and cash are accepted. Don’t miss out! Hosted by the Cheerleaders.
Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2024-25 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123. If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.

Club/Team News
Fishing Team - The Spartan Fishing Team will have its first meeting of the year TOMORROW Wednesday at 3:05 in Mr. Kuchyt classroom, room 372. Any students who would like to learn about fishing and who would like to go fishing should attend.
Graphic Design Club - The Graphic Design Club will have their first meeting next Wednesday, September 4th from 3-4pm in room 146. No design experience necessary, all are welcome! See Mrs. Hartmann in room 146 for more information.
International Club - This is a reminder that the International Club is meeting today in room 357 at 3:05. Our mission is to celebrate the cultural diversity of our school and world. We want you to join our club. Bring a friend and see what we are all about.
JCAB - Do you enjoy organizing fun activities with your friends? Do you like participating in community service? Would you like to help make your junior year the best one yet? Then the Junior Class Advisory Board is for you! Come to our first meeting TOMORROW Wednesday, August 28th at 3pm in Room 107. All are welcome, so bring a friend!
Marhaba Club - Marhaba means hi/hello/welcome in Arabic language. Marhaba club aims at welcoming all students to a space where they can share their interest and love for the Arabic language and Arab diverse cultures. Members of the Marhaba club will connect through cultural activities, games, and more. All students are welcome. Native Arabic speakers, heritage Arabic speakers, learners of Arabic or none, all can join. We will meet TODAY Tuesday Aug. 27th at 3:00 pm in room 362 for our first meeting. Morning Show Media - Are you interested in learning about sound, lighting, and video production for live events? How about content creation, advertising, distribution, and social media marketing? If so, join us for the first meeting of OLCHS's newest club, Morning Show Media! At our meetings, we'll plan weekly concerts in the media center, organize video shoots, and start working on bringing back The Battle of The Bands. And yes, there will be donuts—I repeat, there WILL be donuts!
The first meeting will be held TOMORROW Wednesday, August 28th, at 8:30 AM in Room 11.

MSA - Calling all Spartans. Muslim Students Association is starting this week. Are you interested in meeting new people and having fun? MSA is having the first meeting of the year this week! We will meet Thursday, August 29 @ 3:00 in the Media Center. Everyone is welcome. Looking forward to a great year!
Scholastic Bowl - Do you want to become the smartest person alive? That process starts by joining the Scholastic Bowl team at 3:05 in room 366 TOMORROW Wednesday Aug 28th. Please see Mr. DiFilippo for more details.
Spartan Screamers - Are you a leader? Do you like planning and participating in school activities? Do you like volunteering to help in the community? If so, Spartan Screamers is a great club for you. Our first meeting is TODAY Tuesday August 27th at 3:05pm in room 271. Hope to see you there.
Speech - Are you interested in acting, public speaking, or performing? Do you like writing, talking about politics, or reading poetry? Then come to the Speech Team’s informational meeting next Tuesday, September 3rd, at 3:00 in the Performing Arts Center! Come learn about our amazing speech team, what speech is, and why it might be for you! And bring a friend - no experience necessary!
