MEZA OFF TO FLYING START FOR OAK LAWN SWIMMING

Vladimir Meza went into the boys swim season with a desire for great success. So, in the offseason, he worked extremely hard, and it is paying off already. In the first meet of the season, Meza helped the team take first place at the Oak Forest Pentathlon Invitational by setting a new personal best in the 100 butterfly. He finished third overall in points out of 36 swimmers.

“Vladimir is returning for his third year on the varsity team as one of this year’s captains,” said head coach Derek Maciaga. “His dedication is evident as he prepared himself by swimming in the offseason. He is an absolute joy to have on the swim team as he brings a positive attitude every day to practice.”
