Stuff You Need to Know
Yearbook Distribution this week:
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: should pick the yearbook up during lunch all this week. They must present an ID. After this week, yearbooks can be picked up in room 366 before or after school. Make sure to check if you bought a personalized.
2023 Grads: We encourage the student, parents, or siblings to pick it up the yearbook in the Spartan Lobby from 3-4 PM all this week. After this week, the yearbooks can be picked up in the main office 126 during school hours 7:30 A.M.-3:45 PM. Make sure to check if you bought a personalized book.
Students that need a locker, school issued lock or any other locker related issues, email [email protected]. See your email for further details.
Ventra Cards are now available for sale in the Business Office, Room 123. Cost is $2.00. If you’ve already purchased a card online, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to pick up/purchase a card.

Creative Writing Club - Hey all you creative writers! Are you interested in writing poetry, short stories, and being published in an annual magazine? Creative Writing Club will meet for the second time this year TODAY Tuesday September 12th at 3pm in the college and career center, room 117. It’s not too late to join…. See you there!

Junior Class Advisory Board - Do you enjoy organizing fun activities with your friends? Do you like participating in community service? Would you like to help make your junior year the best one yet? Then the Junior Class Advisory Board is for you! Come to our meeting TOMORROW Wednesday, September 13th at 3pm in the Media Center. All are welcome, so bring a friend!
Speech Team - Are you interested in improving your public speaking skills? There is still time to join the Oak Lawn Speech Team! Interested? Come join us in Room 34 from 3-4 on Mondays and Wednesdays for our novice workshops! This is a great opportunity to enhance your speaking, writing, and acting skills. Questions? Student Services News
Any Sophomore, junior or senior interested in joining the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or National Guard) OR interested in exploring more career options for after high school, please email your counselor about taking the ASVAB on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. You must register ahead of time. No cost to test. We will also be offering a study guide session at the end of September in Spartan Plus.

Are you ready? Homecoming 2023 Powder Puff Football will be played on Tuesday, September 26th. Game 1 will kick off at 6:30pm with Freshman/Sophomores versing Juniors. Game 2 will kick off at 7:15 pm with the winner of game 1 versing the Seniors. If you are interested in playing, you must attend the information/signup meeting held on Tuesday September 12th at 3pm in Room 119. Questions-see Coach Vanderwarren in Room 123. Go Spartans!
