Stuff You Need to Know

Your new digital ID is now available.  All students have been issued a digital ID through 5Star.  For instructions on installing 5Star on your phone and iPad please check your email and look for a message from Mr. Wargin.    

Ventra Cards are now available for sale in the Business Office, Room 123.  Cost is $2.00.  If you’ve already purchased a card online, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm.  Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to pick up/purchase a card.

Did you volunteer this summer?  All summer service hours are due by this Friday, 9/1.  Paperwork should be returned to Student Services Office 117.

Club/Team News

Anime Club - Anime Sci-Fi club will meet TOMORROW Thursday, August 31 from 3-4 pm in room 107. New members are welcome! Bring a friend.

Fishing Team - Do you know what time it is? It’s fish o’clock! The fishing team meets every Wednesday at 3pm in room 372.  It doesn’t matter if you have never fished in your life or if you’re an expert angler, everyone is welcome to join the fishing team.

Freshmen/Sophomore Class Advisory Board - Looking to get involved this school year but don't know where to start?! Join the Freshmen/Sophomore Class Advisory Board! This club offers leadership opportunities to Freshmen and Sophomore students by planning service-learning opportunities, fundraising events, and participating in school events! Meetings will be held weekly on Wednesdays at 3:00pm. Join us for our first meeting TODAY Wednesday, August 30th at 3:00pm in the College and Career Center (RM 117). 

Gaming Club - Gaming & Competitive Gaming Club starts September 5th in the Media Center from 3-4PM. Come play games like Roblox, Valorant, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, NBA2k and many more.

Spartan Sisterhood - Are you interested in being a part of a club that empathizes, embraces and encourages young women? Come to Spartan Sisterhood’s first meeting of the year TOMORROW Thursday at 8am in room 32. We will be discussing plans for our All-girl homecoming dance next month. If you can’t make it, stop by room 32 or 378 and see Mrs. Black or Ms. Odeh to join any time this week. We can’t wait to meet you all!

Speech - Are you interested in becoming a better actor, speaker, writer, or performer? Join Speech! There are 14 events to choose from, all of which will help you improve your skills and grow as an individual while you are competing on the IHSA 2nd in State, award winning Speech team. Athletic News

Baseball - There is a meeting for all baseball players who are not participating in a fall sport TODAY Wednesday 8/30 after school in room 27. It will only last 10 minutes and will go over the schedule for the off-season workouts.

Girls Basketball - Attention all girls interested in trying out for basketball this season: Fall open gyms and conditioning will begin TOMORROW Thursday night, August 31st, at 7pm to 9pm in the Spartan Gym. A schedule for all open gyms will be available on Thursday night.
