Girl wrestler Eliana Caudillo is willing to go the extra mile to do what is need for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls wrestling team. At a quad meet in November against Plainfield East, Nequa Valley, and Willowbrook, she won all her matches in dominating fashion.
Caudillo secured each of her three victories with a pin, and two of the three came in the first period. One of the pins actually occurred while bumping up to a higher weight class to help the Spartans in team points.
Thus, she was named as Spartan Athlete of the Month for November.
“Eliana has been working hard and pushing herself to elevate her skills to a new level,” head coach Matt Arthur said. “She quickly is becoming a leader for our team.”
