Spartans! Make sure to purchase your tickets for this Friday’s football game! All students need to purchase a GoFan ticket for entry. Students do not have free entry to this event. All high school students will still need to show their school ID along with a GoFan ticket for entry.

WANT TO WIN A $20 GIFT CARD!! Creative Writing Club is sponsoring the Halloween/Fall POETRY/WRITING contest! Enter as many times as you would like. Submissions must be Halloween/fall themed and original. Deadline is Friday, October 31st. Winner will be notified Wednesday November 5th. Please email your poem to Mrs. Razik [email protected] by October 31st at 3pm to be eligible to win a prize.

Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2025-26 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123. If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.
Tech Help - If you’re having trouble logging into your classes or having any other tech issues, please email [email protected] for tech assistance. If possible, include a screenshot of your issue.
The iTeam Genius Bar is open from 7:45 am - 3:00 pm. Students can come to the Media Center for support.
Club/Team News
SADD Club - SADD Club will host their next meeting on Thursday, 10/30, at 3PM in Room 119. Club members will make snack bags for the Ronald McDonald House. Come join us in room 119 and bring a friend! New members welcome.

Would you like to know more about careers in aviation? Seniors, are you looking for a full-time job after graduation? Southwest Airlines is hiring positions for provisioning and ramp agents. A Southwest Airlines representative will be here this Thursday during Spartan Plus. Sign up in Skyward under Southwest Airlines with Mr. Krupa
Admissions representatives from the following schools will be visiting OLCHS this week:
Wednesday, 10/29 - DePaul University pd. 2, Blackburn College pd. 9 and Illinois Wesleyan University pd. 10
Students interested in attending any of these visits must register in Schoolinks no later than the day before the visit.
Athletic News
Boys’ Basketball - Boys Basketball tryouts are coming up on Monday, November 10 and Tuesday November 11! We will hold a short informational meeting in the Spartan Gym immediately after school this Thursday October 30, in the Spartan Gym followed by open gym until 5 pm. Make sure you have shorts and basketball shoes with you to play. See you there! If you have questions or cannot make this meeting, please email [email protected] or see Coach Rhodes in the counseling office.
Girls’ Basketball - Attention all girls who are planning to tryout next week for the girls’ basketball program, there will be a meeting Thursday after school at 3:10 in gym 127. At the meeting, we will discuss tryouts and how to register on 8to18. Also, the freshmen are encouraged to attend the last two fall open gyms on Tuesday and Thursday night at 6:00-7:30.
Wrestling - Boy's and Girl's Wrestling will have a pre-season team meeting right after school on Wednesday in the Wrestling Room. Please attend if you have any interest in joining the Boy's or Girl's wresting team this year. See you there!
