SENTENCE: The impetuous mob had had enough of his blather and showed their remonstrance by throwing the banjaxed politician out the window without thinking of the aftermath.

WANT TO WIN A $20 GIFT CARD!! Creative Writing Club is sponsoring the Halloween/Fall POETRY/WRITING contest! Enter as many times as you would like. Submissions must be Halloween/fall themed and original. Deadline is Friday, October 31st. Winner will be notified Wednesday November 5th. Please email your poem to Mrs. Razik [email protected] by October 31st at 3pm to be eligible to win a prize.

Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2025-26 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123. If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.

The iTeam Genius Bar is open from 7:45 am - 3:00 pm. Students can come to the Media Center for support.

Tuesday, 10/28 - Lewis University, pd. 9
Wednesday, 10/29 - DePaul University pd. 2, Blackburn College pd. 9 and Illinois Wesleyan University pd. 10
Students interested in attending any of these visits must register in Schoolinks no later than the day before the visit.
Athletic News
Competitive Cheer tryouts will be held TODAY after school at 3:30 in gym 101. You must be signed up on SNAP and have a current physical. Questions, please see Coach Vanderwarren.
