Please check your skyward email for information about permit testing. Testing will start the week of November 17th during spartan plus. The email will contain a link that will bring you to the rules of the road study guide. If you want a paper copy of the study guide, please go to room 18 and grab a copy.  Start studying and we will see you next month!

Hey OLCHS! Get ready to go “WAY DOWN UNDER THE GROUND”! This year the Theatre Department will be performing HADESTOWN : TEEN EDITION! We will be preforming on OCTOBER 23, 24, and 25 at 7pm in the PAC. On the ROAD TO HELL, “It’s a love song”, and the finding of hope when “The Chips are Down”. So grab your friends, get your tickets and come see HADESTOWN : TEEN EDITION. P.S. “We will WAIT for you.

Ventra cards can be renewed for the 2025-26 school year and new Ventra cards can be purchased for $2.00 in the Business Office, Room 123.  If you’ve already purchased a card online from the OLCHS Webstore, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to renew or purchase a card.

Tech Help - If you’re having trouble logging into your classes or having any other tech issues, please email [email protected] for tech assistance. If possible, include a screenshot of your issue. 

The iTeam Genius Bar is open from 7:45 am - 3:00 pm. Students can come to the Media Center for support.

Club/Team News

FSCAB – FSCAB will have our Halloween party full of games, prizes, and snacks this Wednesday October 22 at 3pm.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Need service hours? There are a lot of great opportunities happening this weekend:

  • Help out at the PTSA Craft Show this Saturday - various shifts available between 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.  Seniors, remember that in order to apply for the PTSA Scholarship, you have to volunteer at a PTSA event, so sign up before it is too late! 
  • Help run games & activities at the Oak Lawn Park District Howl-O-Ween event on Saturday - various shifts available between 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
  • Looking ahead to next week, you can also sign up for the Oak Lawn Park District Halloween Dance and the Hometown Murray VFW Trunk or Treat.

Athletic News

Boys’ Bowling - There will be a short informational meeting for all boys interested in trying out for the bowling team on Tuesday October 21, at 3:10 in Room 28. To tryout, all student athletes must register on SNAP Management and have an updated athletic physical on file in the Athletic Office. Please see Coach Walery in Room 28 if you have any questions. 

Cheer - Competition Cheer tryouts will be held on Thursday October 27th at 3:30 pm in gym 101.  You must have a current sports physical and be registered on SNAP. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Vanderwarren.
