GROUP OF STUDENTS FROM OAK LAWN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL ORGANIZE A CANDLELIGHT BOWL TO RAISE MONEY FOR BOLIVIA

The Oak Lawn Community High School “Spartans Without Borders” organization is hosting a candlelight bowl next month to benefit the people of Bolivia, South America.  All proceeds from this event will go toward helping a group of Oak Lawn students fund a service trip to Bolivia in June of 2026.  This charity event is supported by family, friends, and OLCHS.  “Bowling for Bolivia” 2025 will take place on Friday, October 24th from 8:00pm to 11:00pm at Suburbanite Bowl of Westmont (201 West Ogden Avenue • Westmont, IL • 60559).  The evening will consist of dinner followed by a short program, bowling, raffles, and plenty of fun!  With the support of the community, these students hope to raise $20,000 from this event.  The members of Spartans Without Borders are Isaac Bayas, Marco Budzak, Eli Kulpinski, Emiliano Lopez, and Belal Moutaouakkil.

Spartans Without Borders is a student-led service group at Oak Lawn Community High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois.  It was established in 2004.  The club has raised over $250,000 to help fund mission trips overseas for compassionate students.  All the money collected has contributed to the construction of rural hospitals in both Kenya and Bolivia.  Spartans Without Borders is attempting to raise $40,000 over the next 9 months to return to Bolivia and continue work on Bethel Hospital.  This facility is the only Level I Trauma Center in the rural highlands.  Thanks to the efforts of past groups, the hospital is now over 90% complete.
