Isaac Ramos does not have to be loud in order to make noise, and he is proving that on the soccer field for Oak Lawn Community High School. As a senior playing center back, he is quietly shutting down opposing offenses and has the Spartans riding a current six-game winning streak.
He helped anchor a defense that has allowed only four goals in that stretch, and it has four shutouts as well.
“Isaac has been a key figure for the Spartans,” head coach Nate Joiner said. “His quiet leadership doesn’t go unnoticed because he does his talking through tough marking, crunching tackles, and aerial dominance. Most games he is one of the quickest and most tenacious players on the field. Isaac is a humble, disciplined player who never gives up on a ball and always has his teammates’ backs.”
