Oak Lawn Community High School is proud to announce that social worker Erin Lee won the Illinois Association of School Social Workers Social Worker of the Year Award for 2024. On October 18, 2024, she accepted her award at the IASSW Annual Conference at the Tinley Park Convention Center. Erin was nominated by her peers and was selected out of over 100 nominees.
Erin is a social worker who continues improving her department and area through many different initiatives. She leads the community partnership, mental health screening, and her instructional team. Mental health supports and programming have increased due to Erin and her team's relentless pursuit of giving their best for our students. Assistant Principal Mike Sunquist said, “Erin’s student-centered and progressive approach has put her at the very top of her field. She continues to master her craft, and our students are the beneficiary of such work.”
