LEON PUTS BEST FOOT FORWARD AS LEADER OF OAK LAWN BOYS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM

Whether it be 90 degrees or 50 degrees outside, Oak Lawn Community High School senior Andrew Leon brings the same fever intensity to the cross-country course every day. He is the number-one runner on the team and leads the Spartans with a consistent top time at or near the 16:50 mark.

“He continues to put his best foot forward and is always trying to compete for top placing in races even if it may not produce the times he wants,” head coach Marty Chappetto said. “Andrew’s aggression when racing and pursuing the fastest times have produced a season-best time of 16:50. It exemplifies the attitude that you can race your best no matter the conditions if you fight for the place.”
