OUTSTANDING SPORTS PERFORMANCES EARN SPECIAL RECOGNITION AT OAK LAWN

Playing three sports for an entire high school may not be an easy thing to do, and in this day and age, it is certainly not a common achievement. However, Oak Lawn Community High School senior Jesse Correa recently completed the task. He was honored at the Spring Sports Awards Night.

There were several other outstanding performances that were recognized at the ceremony.

The Bill Godby Most Outstanding Male Athlete went to senior Kyle Brennan, and the Geri Vandekreke Most Outstanding Female Athlete went to senior Maeve Hassett.

Three Spartans won the Joe Pajac Scholarship, which included Natalie Orozco, Jessica Carey, and Anna Driscoll. The Spartan Distinguished Service Award was handed to Karrie Mallo, Ed Cermak, and Palos Lanes.

Finally, head boys basketball coach Jason Rhodes earned the Fred Parks Coach of the Year Award.
