Practice makes perfect, and for Oak Lawn Community High School sophomore Isaac Bayas, this motto is making all the difference. With only a year of tennis experience under his belt, the relentless pursuit of excellence is a driving force behind his season record of 7-2 at second singles for the Spartans.
“He has beaten out veteran players and locked in a spot playing second singles at the varsity level,” head coach Adam Winchell said. “Isaac continues to excel in practices and matches and takes lessons and plays with his dad to improve even more. Isaac has a real shot at doing some damage and qualifying in the South Suburban Conference Red meet and at the Illinois High School Association Sectional meet.”
