Oak Lawn Community High School is proud to announce that Dean of Students Hamed Askar received an Award of Special Recognition Student Support Personnel by the Illinois State Board of Recognition.
The Annual Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Awards celebrate classroom teachers, administrators, teams, volunteers, and school support personnel who have made lasting impacts on the students, families, and fellow educators in their school communities.
Principal Jeana Lietz said, “Mr. Askar is an outstanding Dean and all-around human being. He brings patience, kindness and understanding to his job and his interactions with students. Because he is an OLCHS alum, he has a vested interest in the Oak Lawn community, and it shows in his work. Students, parents, and staff members have only kind words and praise to share about Mr. Askar. We are lucky to have him as a member of our OLCHS staff.”
