Congratulations to the following students who have qualified for the ILMEA All-State Band, Choir and Honor Choir. These students will be participating in the IMEC festival this weekend in Peoria, representing OLCHS among students from all over the state of Illinois. Congratulations Polly Olson, Mikey Mills, and Billy McNichols. We are so proud of all of you and are looking forward to sharing this experience with all of you this weekend!
MME and MME-Workshop is performing this weekend at the IMEC festival in Peoria! They will be the center focus in a professional development performance and presentation session this Saturday. Both groups have been working hard to create, practice, and perform a demo session to promote the inclusion of popular music ensembles in the school setting. We are so excited to share your hard work, and present on this contemporary idea. Trail-blaze this weekend MME! See you in Peoria!
Paint The Gym Purple (PTGP) T-Shirts for sale - This year’s PTGP assembly and games will be held on Friday January 26th. The shirts will be for sale during all lunches Monday – Friday and at the game. They are $10 each payable with cash or check (to OLCHS). All proceeds are used towards our Spartan Survivor Scholarship. Come and get them before they are sold out!
Good morning creative writers! Are you feeling the love? Submit a Valentine’s Day poem by Monday February 12th to be entered into our poetry contest. Only one winner will be announced on Valentine’s Day. Get creative! Please send all entries to Mrs. Madsen or Mrs. Razik.
Breakfast items are now available in the Spartan Lobby from 8:00am-8:25am and from 8:50am – 9:15am on Wednesdays. The price of the complete breakfast meal will either be Free, Reduced ($.30) or Paid ($3.50). A complete breakfast meal includes one entree and a minimum of one, up to two sides (unless otherwise marked). In addition to the complete meal, a la carte items such as breakfast bars, granola bars, etc. will also be available for purchase. Be ready to show your ID and please eat your breakfast BEFORE the start of your first period. Keep an eye out for the breakfast cart in the Spartan Lobby!

Ventra Cards are now available for sale in the Business Office, Room 123. Cost is $2.00. If you’ve already purchased a card online, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to pick up/purchase a card.

Girls Soccer - For any girls interested in playing soccer this spring, pre-season conditioning and open gyms begin this week. Our next open gyms are this Thursday January 25th from 7-8:30 in the Spartan Gym, and Monday January 29th from 5:30-7:00 in the Spartan Gym. Shin guards, gym shoes and proper attire are required. Please join the All-Girls Soccer Remind with the code @4d8fa or email Coach Faro [email protected] for more information on dates and times. The girls’ soccer tryouts begin February 26th.
