Junior Jaretzy Ramos is a wrestler at Oak Lawn Community High School. But what separates her from the rest is that she is succeeding on the mat for both the boys’ team and the girls’ team. She boasts a 6-0 record for the boys team and a 7-2 record for the girls.
On the boys side, she is undefeated and had a thrilling come-from-behind pin against Richards. On the girls team, she took second place at the Lake Park Tournament and first place at the Oak Forest Bengal Bash.
“Jaretzy has been a standout junior wrestler on both the boys and girls teams,” head coach David Early said. “Beyond her competitive successes, Jaretzy is a leader in practice, guiding and mentoring the girls team. Her contributions are instrumental in establishing a strong girls wrestling program. Her skill, determination, and leadership make her a remarkable athlete and a role model in the wrestling community.”
