Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Bowling Team for winning the SSC Red Conference Championship for the 3rd consecutive year!  Charlie Dell finished in 1st place overall, knocking down 1376 pins and earning All-Conference Honors. Vinny McBrien and Justin Canvin also earned All-Conference medals. Sam Bergamo and Gavin Rybicki just finished outside of the top 10 but were instrumental in closing out Reavis in the 6th and deciding game. Wish the Spartans Good Luck at the IHSA Regional this weekend.

The Varsity Scholastic Bowl is off to a great start with a thrilling win over Bremen on Wednesday. On the day, Shawn Perry led all varsity scorers with 6 tossup answers. Others that made the tossup scoring column were Michael Swan in his debut, Yumn Elameer, Rizan Ali, and Fabio Noguera. The JV Scholastic Team had two big wins over Bremen and TF South. The team was led by Joseph O’Leary with 9 tossups in his debut. Rawan Ali also had a tossup score.  If you are interested in joining the team, come to room 366 for our next practice on Tuesday 1/16.

Good morning, Spartans!  The junior class is excited to host our inaugural Winter Formal this year on Saturday, January 20th, from 7-10 PM.  Tickets are $15. Tickets will be sold online from noon on January 12th through January 19th.  The QR code for guest forms and ticket purchasing can be found in your e-mail and on posters around the school.  The Winter Formal is going to be a great way to reconnect with friends after break and kick off the second semester.  We hope to see you there!

Breakfast items are now available in the Spartan Lobby from 8:00am-8:25am and from 8:50am – 9:15am on Wednesdays. The price of the complete breakfast meal will either be Free, Reduced ($.30) or Paid ($3.50). A complete breakfast meal includes one entree and a minimum of one, up to two sides (unless otherwise marked). In addition to the complete meal, a la carte items such as breakfast bars, granola bars, etc. will also be available for purchase. Be ready to show your ID and please eat your breakfast BEFORE the start of your first period. Keep an eye out for the breakfast cart in the Spartan Lobby!

Ventra Cards are now available for sale in the Business Office, Room 123. Cost is $2.00. If you’ve already purchased a card online, please pick it up in the Business Office. Business Office hours are 7:30am – 3:30pm. Plan accordingly! You will not be excused from class to pick up/purchase a card.

The Track & Field season is right around the corner! Registration is now open for all students that would like to join Boys or Girls Track & Field. The first practice will be held on Tuesday, January 16^th right after school. Please check your email for directions on how to register, or head to the OLCHS Athletics web page for more information.
