FLEITAS BREAKS OUT FOR OAK LAWN GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM

In her first full season on the Oak Lawn Community High School girls basketball team, sophomore Bianca Fleitas is beginning to turn potential into production. In late December, Fleitas showed this in a big way with her career-best game against Thornwood.

Fleitas led the Spartans in scoring that day with 19 points, and she pulled down four rebounds and added three assists.

“Bianca is starting to show signs of breaking out and establishing herself as a main piece to this team,” head coach Mark Sevedge said. “She has had moments where she has shown the type of player she can be. When it comes to basketball talent and skill level, Bianca is right there amongst the best players in the program. As her confidence level continues to grow, she has the potential to be a Top 10 player in the South Suburban Conference.”
