Whether it be shooting three-pointers, diving for loose balls, deflecting opponent passes, or guarding the opponent’s top player, Teagan Krzystof does it all for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls basketball team. She leads the Spartans in scoring. She leads the team in three-pointers with 14. She is shooting 100-percent from two-point range. And now, she is the OLCHS Athlete of the Month for November.
Krzystof held the number-two ranked, 6-foot-2 junior in the state of Illinois to just eight points in the season opener and continues to play tough defense. She is everywhere with 21 deflections, six steals, and four blocks.
“During our first six games of the season, Teagan has done a little bit of everything for the team,” head coach Mark Sevedge said. “She has been asked to guard our opponent’s best player every game thus far. Teagan is quietly becoming one of the leaders of our program by her performance, work ethic, and positive attitude on and off the court.”
