OAK LAWN’S WALSH EARNS ALL-SECTIONAL HONORS FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

After finishing his third season on the Oak Lawn Community High School’s varsity boys soccer team this year, Dylan Walsh can admire some impressive numbers for himself. He scored 13 goals and five assists this season. He’s amassed 35 career goals. He’s contributed nine career assists.

And now, he can reflect on earning his second consecutive year of being named as an Illinois High School Association All-Sectional player.

Walsh scored goals against South Suburban Conference Red foes Richards, Argo, TF United, Tinley Park, Evergreen Park, and Oak Forest. He also had key assists against Reavis and Bremen.

“His speed, quickness, and agility with and without the ball caused problems for opposing defenses all season long,” said head coach Nate Joiner. “These stats and characteristics are what led him to being chosen all sectional both his sophomore and junior years.”
