WORD OF THE WEEK:
GARISH
gar·ish (gâr′ĭsh, găr′-)
PART OF SPEECH/DEFINITION:
ADJ.: 1. Overly bright or ornamented, especially in vulgar and tasteless way; gaudy.
SENTENCE: Their garish clothes and schmaltzy selfie in front of the ancient pyramids was a not very oblique and sordid reminder that deftly extolled their virtues as a mere bagatelle in the face of a culture of doyens.
