VRABEL DOES IT ALL FOR SPARTANS IN FOOTBALL SEASON-OPENER

There just might not be a way to slow down or stop TJ Vrabel on the football field this year. He rarely comes off the field for Oak Lawn Community High School, and in the season-opener he did it all on offense and defense to lead the team to a victory over visiting Romeoville.

The three-year varsity starter had 165 all-purpose yards on offense and scored three touchdowns in Week 1. On defense, he made eight tackles and forced a fumble. In the second game of the year against Stagg, Vrabel returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

“TJ has emerged as a leader both on and off the field this season and has a tremendous work ethic both in season and in the offseason,” said head coach Ryan Pattison.
