Zach Zobak Earns Eagle Scout Award

Zobak-Zachary

Senior Zachary Zobak earned the highest award obtainable from the Boy Scouts of America organization: Eagle Scout.  Zach received the Eagle Award in a Court of Honor presentation at St. Gerald Church on March 13, 2019. The award is a performance-based achievement: not every boy who joins a Boy Scout troop earns the Eagle Scout rank.  In fact, only five percent of all boy scouts earn this award.  Zach received this award after earning 34 merit badges and completing his service project of collecting supplies for the Chicago Autism Academy in Frankfort, IL. Zach advanced through the ranks of scouting as a member of Troop 619, a charter that has existed since 1947.  Zach has held the office of Assistant Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, and Order of the Arrow among many others.

Also, during his four years at OLCHS, Zach has been a member of the cross-country team and the track and field team. He has also worked at Five Guys Burgers for two years while working to complete his goal of over 100 community service hours. Congratulations, Zach!
