Teen Tech Week


The Media Center is celebrating Teen Tech Week April 15-18.  This year's theme is "Get Connected."  In collaboration with STEM Club, we have a variety of activities planned each day.  

4/15:  Bagels & Books.  Join book clubbers for an exploration of the Media Center's new books!   A golden ticket is required from students' English teachers. Students sign up in Spartan Plus:  OTHER / JONES / SIDLOW / BAGEL BOOK.  

4/15:  STEM Speaker.  STEM Club presents Salam Mulhem, Moraine Valley Community College STEM President and OLCHS alumna. Salam will discuss the importance of STEM in college.  The event is open to all students and staff in the Little Theater at 3:00 p.m.

4/16: Author Brianna Dumont.  Author Brianna Dumont will discuss her path to publication! From idea to published product, Brianna brings in key concepts of nonfiction research and how she researches her own books.  Students sign up in Spartan Plus: OTHER / JONES / SIDLOW / AUTHOR.

4/17: After School Book Club.  Students and staff are welcome to join in for book club discussion of New York Times bestseller When Dimple Met Rishi.  Refreshments will be provided. 

4/18: Apple Pencil Drawing.  Students can utilize the Media Center's new Apple Pencils by using Apple's Everyone Can Create book.  Students sign up in Spartan Plus:  OTHER / JONES / SIDLOW / APPLE PENCIL.
