Spring 2020-21 Bus Information

 

Beginning April 6, 2021, First Student Transportation will begin running the former Pace 385 bus route.
 
Students taking the bus should be at a PACE 385 stop in order to be picked up.  
 
Route Starting Time: 7:42 a.m. (Monday - Friday)
 
In the morning, the bus will drop all students on Austin Avenue along the West side of the football stadium.  After school, the bus will depart from the same Austin Avenue location.  Please be prompt, the bus will depart by 12:35. 
 
 
 
A few reminders:
  • This is a yellow school bus.  Do not look for a PACE bus.
  • Mask wearing is required at all times. 
  • Students should complete their Skyward Wellness Screener before getting on the bus.  Any student failing the screener should remain home. 
  • Violations of mask policies or behavior concerns should be reported to the OLCHS Dean’s Office as soon as possible.
 

Ventra Card Information

Forms need to be completed by the parent/guardian, then signed and returned to the business office, 123, for verification.  Once verified parent/guardian will need to send the form to PACE with the $2.00 fee.  When the card is issued, Ventra will send it to the OLCHS and we will distribute it to the student.  The card is then brought home and registered on the Ventra website and loaded with money.  If you have questions please contact the OLCHS business office.

Ventra Card Expiration Information Message:

The first Student Ventra Cards to be issued since Ventra launched in 2013 are nearing expiration, and we need your help in getting the word out to students who are currently enrolled and/or will continued to be enrolled at your school:

1.     Students should check their Student Ventra Card’s expiration date, located on the front of the Student Ventra Card.

2.     Direct the student to VentraChicago.com/students, where they can download an Expiring Cards Replacement Order Form to purchase a new replacement card.

Their new card will be sent to your school for their pickup, just as in the normal replacement card process. If the student has a balance of unused funds and/or unused unlimited ride passes, and their card is registered, it’s simple to transfer those to their new Student Ventra Card by calling Ventra Customer Service at (877) 669-8368 or visiting the Ventra Customer Service Center at 567 W. Lake St. between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

If a student is graduating or otherwise not continuing to be enrolled at your school, they will need to purchase a regular full-fare Ventra Card, which can be purchased at Ventra vending machines at CTA rail stations, online at VentraChicago.com, at more than 1,000 retail locations, the Ventra Customer Service Center, or by calling Ventra at (877) 669-8368.
