Students Advance in PTSA Reflections Contest

Oak Lawn Community High School student Chae Rin West advances to the national level of the PTSA Reflections Contest for her photography submission “Self Aware.” Two hundred thirty-seven virtual entries, representing all six arts categories, were received at the state level. More than eighty schools, in seven of the PTA Regions, met the challenge to submit entries expressing how “I Matter Because…” while PTA leaders, school staff and parents stepped up to encourage, support, document and upload their imaginative students’ works.  Only twenty six entries advanced to the National PTA level, and our very own Chae is one of them.
Spartan Hailey Rabideaux was one of 48 students who received a State Honorable mention for her film production "Talk to Me Animatic.”
Other participants included Veronika Stelter for her literature submission and Emily Caliendo, Jocelyn Damian, Maggie Conrad, and Ella Pehler for photography submissions.
