Homecoming Spirit Week, 9/24-10/2:
Thursday-    Twin Thursday- Double up as you dress like your pal(s)
Friday-          Spartan PRIDE- On Fridays we wear Green
                      Football Game vs. Tinley Park, 7:00pm
Saturday-      Homecoming Dance, 7:00pm
The Girls Volleyball team will host the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Out game next Tuesday, October 5th. Pack the stands in pink for our matches at 4:30 and 5:30 vs. TF South. We have pink shirts available for sale for $15 - email Coach Miller ( or stop by Room 108 before or after school to purchase yours today! All proceeds will be donated to Little Company of Mary Breast Health Center.

College Rep Visits

Representatives from the following schools will be visiting with Spartans this week: 

Thursday, 9/30 – University of IL at Urbana-Champaign, pd. 6/7

Friday, 10/1 – Trinity Christian College, pd. 4/5 and Ball State University, pd. 9

To attend a visit, please sign up to attend in Naviance. To do this:
1. Log into Naviance
2. Click on “Colleges” and “Colleges Home”
3. Scroll down to the bottom right, where you will see a list of college visits scheduled at OLCHS.
4. Select the visit you want to sign up for.
Registration will close one day before the start of the visit.

Club/Team News

Black Student Union – Come join the Black Student Union for our meeting TODAY Thursday 9/30 at 3PM in Room 202. New students are encouraged to attend! Email Ms. Greene at with any questions!
Bible Club - If you are interested in joining the OLCHS Bible Club but missed our first meeting – you are still welcome to join us. Our next meeting is TODAY Thursday, September 30th from 3:00-3:45 in room 212.  Meetings will be every other Thursday.  Bible Club is an organization designed to engage students in activities, conversations, service, and Bible study to encourage students in their Christian faith.  Anyone is welcome!
Student Helpers - Are you a sophomore, junior, or senior interested in helping others? Student Helpers assist freshmen and other new students as they get used to our school. We escort them to their classes for 2 days, we have 8th graders shadow us on Shadow Days in November, help raise money for scholarships and have opportunities to work with Spartans with special needs. All students who exemplify positive spartan PRIDE characteristics can join. If that’s you, Mrs. Meierkort and Mr. Olumstad want you to complete this form to let us know you’re interested!
