Stuff You Need to Know

Student Council is proud to announce the 2022 Spartans on the Red Carpet Homecoming Court!

Congratulations to juniors Charlie Cizek, Ivan Garcia, Erhan Osmani, Anna Driscoll, Maeve Hassett and Maya Quinonez. Congratulations to seniors Trevor Hartmann, John "Jack" McGlynn, Cristian Ruiz, Robert Wagner, Sandy Berg, Lily Butler, Katelyn "Kate" Dilllon, and Sajida Mulhem. All court members have a mandatory meeting with Mrs. Sidlow in Room 107 during Spartan Plus TODAY (Friday, September 16).  

Good morning, Spartans!  We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th and we, World Language Teachers, would like YOU to be a part of the celebration. There will be several events to come but for now, come on up to the 3rd floor where you'll find a picturesque backdrop to take a selfie with your bestie.  

Homecoming 2022 presents:  Girls Powder Puff Flag Football-Tuesday September 20th.  Game 1 - Freshman/Sophomore vs. Juniors; Game 2 – Winner vs. Seniors;  Game 1 will begin at 6:30pm, Game 2 will begin at 7pm.  All students must present their ID for entry.  There will be a $2 entry fee at the gate.  Go Spartans!

To all students: The Spartan Sisterhood is excited to host their second annual girls only dance during homecoming week on Thursday, Sept 22 from 6-8pm. Please purchase your tickets from Mrs. Black in room 378 or Ms. Odeh in room 32 or from any Spartan Sisterhood member for 5 dollars. We hope you see you there!

Homecoming dance tickets are now on sale online! See OLCHS webstore for more details. Tickets are $25 and only on sale until September 21. No tickets will be sold at the door. 

Are you bringing a non-OLCHS guest to the dance? If so, you need a signed Guest Request Form. Forms are available online, in the Main Office, Media Center, and Deans Office. Signed forms are due TODAY!!!

Need service hours?  There are several opportunities coming up:

  • Help with carts at Stony Creek for the Children’s Museum Hootenanny Hoedown event!
  • There are several opportunities to get outdoors and help in the Cook County Forest Preserves every weekend!
  • Provide water and encouragement to runners in the Christmas Without Cancer 5K!
  • Help with games and activities for the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce Fall Fest!

Cafeteria – Just a reminder…. You MUST have an ID in order to get breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria. If you do not have your ID with you, go to on your iPad and login with your school Google account. A QR code for the website is available near each cashier. If you receive a message that you don’t have a photo, please go to the Media Center to have a photo taken and get your ID printed.

Student Helpers - Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors interested in joining Student Helpers– To participate in Student Helpers this year, including Shadow Days, you must fill out the google form link in the Student Announcements Email to join Student Helpers no later than September 19th.
