Congratulations to the Anime Sci-Fi Club officers - Aidan Alonso, Billy McNichols, Robert Slezak.
Anime Sci-Fi will meet on Thursday, September 23 from 3-4 pm in room 107. New members are welcome.
Would you like a chance to earn some easy service hours here at school? The girls swim team is looking for volunteer timers to help out this Thursday and next week Tuesday for the only two home meets of the season. Please see Coach Maciaga at the pool after school if interested. Meets start at 4:30pm. No experience necessary.

This year’s Powder Puff Game will be held on Monday September 27th at 6:30PM. Any junior or senior girl interested in participating should email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or see Ms. Horn in room 210. Deadline to register is Wednesday September 15th.

College Rep Visits
It’s College & Career Week and there are several great workshops being held during Spartan Plus!
Tuesday 9/14 – The Benefits of Small Colleges – this workshop will cover what to expect at smaller schools and how to find a match for your goals
Thursday 9/16 – College Application Workshop – counselors will be available to help you work through your applications and/or personal statement writing.
Thursday 9/16, 6:00 – 7:30 pm – College & Career Fair in the Student Cafeteria – over 30 college reps, military recruiters and future employers will be available to meet with Spartans families.
Bible Club - If you are interested in joining the OLCHS Bible Club, our first meeting is this Thursday, September 16th from 3:00-3:45 in room 212. Meetings will be every other Thursday. Bible Club is an organization designed to engage students in activities, conversations, service, and Bible study to encourage students in their Christian faith. Anyone is welcome!
OLAS - We meet this Thursday in Room 356 at 3:05. If you missed last week's meeting, no problem! Join us this Thursday. Remember to wear red, white and green!
Speech Team - Missed the speech informational meeting? Not a problem! Events range from acting to public speaking. We are still accepting new members with no audition process! Come learn valuable skills that will transfer to every aspect of your life!
Student Helpers - Are you a sophomore, junior, or senior interested in helping others? Student Helpers assist freshmen and other new students as they get used to our school. We escort them to their classes for 2 days, we have 8th graders shadow us on Shadow Days in November, help raise money for scholarships and have opportunities to work with Spartans with special needs. All students who exemplify positive spartan PRIDE characteristics can join.
