Stuff You Need to Know
In anticipation of mental health awareness day in October, OLCHS is facilitating our mental health screening unit in all health classes this week. The message is clear. When you are worried about signs of depression with someone you know- ACT. Acknowledge you or a friend may have symptoms of depression, CARE about your friend by offering reassurance and TELL a trusted adult. The best way to help is to identify a trusted adult such as a teacher, counselor, social worker, or parent and go to that person for support.
Boys’ Baseball. Any students, not participating in a fall sport, who are interested in baseball, can join open workouts. Stop by room 27 for more information.
Peer Mediation: Want to help your peers resolve their conflicts? It’s not too late to sign up to be a Peer Mediator!! See Mrs. Yawer in the Guidance Office (Room 117) to find out how!
Student Council. Student Council members, if you’d like a Spartans in Candyland homecoming T-shirt, please bring $5 to the Media Center by this Friday @3pm. They’re pretty “sweet,” so you don’t want to miss your chance. Thanks!
