Stuff You Need to Know

 

 

 

Good morning Spartans! The musical is coming up! Purchase your tickets for the Wizard Of Oz during your lunch period or from the Performing Arts Center link on the OLCHS website! Tickets range from 10 to 17 dollars! The show dates are, November 1st at 7:00 pm, November 2nd at 7:00 pm, and November 3rd at 2:00 pm. Come see the scarecrow, the tin man, the lion, and Dorothy herself in their journey down the yellow brick road! The show is family friendly, so bring all of your family and friends! We hope to see you there!

 

Attention seniors , now is the time to order your senior gear! Orders are open now through all of October, the shop closes October 31st. You can order and make payments online or through the media center. Show your spartan pride by wearing a class of 2020 t-shirt, long sleeve, sweatshirt, sweatpants, or even windbreaker! Order now! If you have any questions please see Mrs.Wholley in the media center.

 

 

Representatives from the following schools will be visiting OLCHS this week:

 

Thursday 10/31 – Rockford University, pd. 2 and Western Michigan University, pd. 10

 

Students interested in attending these visits should sign up in Naviance no later than 24 hours before the visit. 

 

 

Need service hours?  There are several great opportunities coming up!

  • Lots of volunteers needed to help set up the St. Gerald Craft Fair
  • Green thumbs needed to help clean up the Oak Lawn Park District Community Garden on Saturday
  • Participate in a military trick-or-treat event on Saturday evening

 Club/Team News

 

 

Girls’ Basketball. If you missed the girls’ basketball meeting, please stop by room 241 for tryout and registration information. Tryouts begin on Monday, November 4th.

Girls’ Soccer. If you are interested in playing soccer this year, open fields will begin this week on Wednesdays and Fridays, weather permitting. You must have shin guards and cleats to participate. Please don’t forget to join the All Girls Soccer Remind with the code @4d8fa. If you need more information email coach Faro at jfaro@olchs.org or visit him in room 146 before school.

Girls’ Track & Field.  Ladies, the time has come to dust off your running shoes and begin our preseason workouts. Have you ever wondered how fast you can run, how high you can jump, or how far you can throw? There will be a meeting after school for all new and old athletes on Monday November 4th in the Junior/Senior Lounge. We will discuss days, times, and expectations of preseason. The preseason workouts start on November 18th  and you must have an updated physical on file. Please stop by room 211 for additional information if you cannot make the meeting.
