Stuff You Need to Know

Blood Drive- Help save a life and donate blood!  OLCHS is hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday, Oct. 24th from 10am-4pm in the Auditorium Gym 127.  For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 877-258-4825 or visit vitalant.org and use code OL94. Appointments are required! Please enter at Door 9 and you must wear a mask!
 
College Rep Visits- Representatives from the following schools will be virtually visiting with Spartans this week: 
 
Tuesday, 10/13/20 – St. Ambrose University 12:30 pm and Marquette University 1:20 pm
Wednesday, 10/14/20 – Western Michigan University 12:30 pm and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising 2:10 pm
Thursday, 10/15/20 – University of Nebraska 12:30 pm and Carthage College 1:20 pm
Friday, 10/16/20 – DePauw University 12:30 pm
 
To attend a visit, please sign up to attend in Naviance. To do this:
1. Log into Naviance
2. Click on “Colleges” and “Colleges Home”
3. Scroll down to the bottom right, where you will see a list of college visits scheduled at OLCHS.
4. Select the visit you want to sign up for.
 
Registration will close one hour before the start of the visit. A link to the visit will be sent to all students registered at the start time of the virtual visit. 
 
Halloween/Fall Poetry Contest- The Spartan Creative Writing Club presents a Halloween/Fall Poetry Contest!  Entries are due by 10/21/20 and the winner will be announced on 10/29/20.  Winner of the best poem gets a $10 Amazon gift card and a bag of Jolly Ranchers! Poetry submittal QR code below:

Tech Help Desk- OLCHS will now be offering daily iPad and app tech support from 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM in the Media Center.  Students will need to check in at the Southwest Highway entrance, door 7.  All students who come on campus must wear a mask and will be temperature checked and screened for COVID symptoms.  No appointments are necessary. If unable to come to school, please take a screenshot of your issue and email ipadsupport@olchs.com
