Stuff You Need to Know



The District 122 Shadow Day scheduled for October 20th has been RESCHEDULED to November 22nd. Please do NOT bring any 8th graders to school on October 20th.  Any student participating in Shadow Days must have a permission slip on file by the due date noted on the form.  More information regarding Shadow Days will be provided in the next few weeks.  See Mrs. Schumacher in the Student Services Office with any questions.  Thank you!!


Its Friday Night Lights and the Spartans travel to EP to take on the Mustangs.  We need a huge crowd to travel to EP and take over their stadium as the football team looks for its 5th win of the year and become playoff eligible for the first time in 9 years!  Sophomores kick off at 430 with the Varsity to follow at 7.



Attention Seniors!  This week you MAY have Senior Seminar.  Please check your schedule in Skyward to see what day you have Seminar during Spartan Plus:

Representatives from the following schools will be visiting OLCHS this week:


Friday 10/13 – University of Wisconsin at OshKosh (pd. 2) and Utica College (pd. 5/6)


Students interested in attending any of these visits should add the school to their Career Cruising plan, or see/email Mrs. Kenny for a pass.




Need service hours?  There are several opportunities coming up:

Friday, 10/13 – Sertoma Centre “Paint it Forward” event

Saturday, 10/14 – First United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch, St. Gerald’s Craft Fair, and Westside Baseball

Email Mrs. Kenny to sign up for any of these events.


Reminder to all students – if you would like to volunteer at a Haunted House during the Halloween season, you MUST make sure it is an approved site first.  Student interested in this type of volunteer work should check out the Ominous Oaks haunt for Don’, the Worth Park District, and/or the Oak Lawn Park District for opportunities.
