Congratulations to the Varsity Valorant team for their victory against St. Bede on Thursday. A great match was played by Khalid, Angel, Christian, Nick, Scott and Amanda.
OLCHS will be hosting a community blood drive on Saturday, October 15 from 9AM – 3PM in gym 127. All students, staff, and community members are welcome to attend. Donating blood saves lives. Please consider coming out. All OLCHS students will receive 1 service hour for a donation.
All freshmen must provide the health office with their ninth grade physical examination and record of vaccinations before October 15th to prevent being excluded from school. Additionally, all seniors must provide the health office a copy of their meningococcal vaccine record before October 15th to prevent being excluded from school. These two requirements are state mandated. Please stop by the nurse’s office if you have any questions.
Help those in need! Donate to the Evergreen Park Food Pantry. Items needed are:
- Small liquid laundry detergent
- Paper towels
- Toilet paper
- Canned goods

Fall/Halloween Poetry Contest- The OLCHS Spartan Creative Writing Club presents… A Fall/Halloween Poetry Contest! Send us your original poetry about Fall or Halloween. Entries are due by Friday, October 21, 2022 @ midnight. The prize for “Best Poem” is a $10 Amazon Gift Card and a bag of Jolly Ranchers. Please check your student e-mail for our contest flyer with details. Entries should be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Two entries per person.
Cafeteria – Just a reminder…. You MUST have an ID in order to get breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria. If you do not have your ID with you, go to myid.olchs.org on your iPad and login with your school Google account. A QR code for the myid.olchs.org website is available near each cashier. If you receive a message that you don’t have a photo, please go to the Media Center to have a photo taken and get your ID printed.

The winter athletic season is right around the corner! Registration is now open for all students that would like to tryout for a winter sport. Winter sports include Boys Bowling, Competitive Cheerleading, Competitive Dance, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Girls Bowling, and Boys Swim & Dive. Tryout dates for each individual program vary. Please check your email for directions on how to register, or head to the OLCHS Athletics web page for more information.
