Stuff You Need to Know




HAPPY TEEN READ WEEK!  To celebrate, the Media Center will be hosting special activities for students and staff all week.  Join us today during Spartan Plus for a fun Pop-up Library event hosted by the Oak Lawn Public Library.  Teen librarian Isabel will be here with treats and books!  Also- if you prefer a more calm way to spend Spartan Plus, sign up for silent reading in the new peaceful zen garden courtyard across from the Media Center.  Enjoy the serene surroundings as you finish up your latest read.  Check Spartan Plus calendar for our other activities.     



With Exclusion date of Monday October 15th approaching quickly, please turn in your Freshman physical or proof of Meningitis Vaccine for Seniors as soon as possible to the health office.



Tomorrow is the Girls’ Volleyball Pink Out game! Wear pink to school to show your support! Sophomores play at 4:30 and varsity plays at 5:30 against Tinley Park.



Admissions reps from the following schools will be visiting this week:

Tuesday, 10/9 – Purdue University Calumet, pd. 2 and Ripon College, pd. 8/9

Wednesday, 10/10 - Aquinas College, pd. 8/9 and Dominican University, pd. 10

Thursday, 10/11 - University of South Alabam, pd. 2 and University of Denver, pd. 10

            Friday, 10/12 – University of Alabama, pd. 2 and Lincoln College, pd. 5/6

Please see or email Mrs. Kenny for a pass to attend any of these visits at least one day before the visit.  Seniors who have these schools saved in Career Cruising will automatically receive a pass to attend.





Club/Team News



Swimming/Diving. For anyone interested in swimming or diving during the 2018-2019 season, there will be an informational meeting after school from 3:15-3:45 in Room 365 on Tuesday, October 16th. All interested athletes are welcome regardless of their swimming or diving experience. Please see Coach Reiff or Coach Maciaga or Coach Wagner if you cannot attend.
