Stuff You Need to Know

Thank you to all staff and students for your support of our Ronald McDonald House fundraiser last week. A small group of students from Mrs. Rafferty’s advisory class raised almost $400. This money goes directly to the families who have very ill children that are staying at RMHC. Your donations are very much appreciated!

All spring semester drivers education students. Registration information and permit application will be distributed in the drivers ed room, 281, next Tuesday and Wednesday before school. Packets will not be mailed home and must be picked up one of those days. Students must have permits on the first day of class in January.

Seniors, have you checked the Scholarship Bulletin lately?  There are TONS of new scholarship opportunities available to you, many of which are local.  Take some time over the long weekend and get started on scholarship applications.  And don’t forget, if you turn in scholarship applications to Mrs. Kenny at least 3 days before the deadline, she will mail everything for you!

Need service hours?  There are lots of opportunities coming up over the next two weeks:

  • Help make sandwiches for the homeless this Saturday afternoon with the Knights of Columbus
  • Serve food at the Community Thanksgiving Dinner next Thursday
  • Help prepare meals for seniors at the Community Nutrition Network
  • Host children’s activities at Santa on the Green next Saturday

Information about these events and more can be found on the Service Learning calendar, accessible on the OLCHS website and/or in your Seminar iTunesU course.
