Stuff You Need to Know






The drivers education department would like to welcome Brian Kovach from the Oak Lawn State Farm Insurance office on 95th St. Mr. Kovach is on campus today as a guest speaker, talking to our drivers ed classes about car insurance requirements for the state of Illinois. Welcome Mr. Kovach.


Need service hours?  The Garden Chalet is still looking for volunteers to help serve their annual Community Thanksgiving meal tomorrow. Shifts are available between 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.  The Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce is also looking for help on Saturday for the Shop Oak Lawn event.  Information about both of these opportunities and many more coming up for the holiday season is available on the Service Learning calendar, accessible from the OLCHS webpage and/or your iTunes U seminar course.









Club/Team News





Girls’ Badminton. There will be a brief informational meeting for all girls interested in playing badminton this spring on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27th right after school in room 212. If you cannot attend please stop by room 212 to talk to Coach Zwirkoski.

Also – open gyms start next week. The first open gyms are on Wednesday, November 28th from 7:45 – 9:30 in gym 10 and on Friday, November 30th from 5:45-7:45 in gym 10. Rackets will be provided. Hope to see you there.



Operation Santa Claus. Do you want to help others this holiday season? Need to earn community service hours? The 14th  annual Operation Santa Claus Program is quickly approaching. We will be adopting families from within OLCHS and providing them with a variety of holiday gifts that they would otherwise not be able to afford. If you are interested in participating on the Operation Santa Claus committee, please attend the informational meeting after school on Tuesday,November 27th in room 215. All are welcome!
