Stuff You Need to Know

 

Admissions reps from the following schools will be visiting this week:

                               Friday 11/2 – Special Spartan Plus session with Monmouth College to focus on the full ride scholarship!  Filter by Student Services, Kenny.

Please see or email Mrs. Kenny for a pass to attend any of these visits at least one day before the visit.  Seniors who have these schools saved in Career Cruising will automatically receive a pass to attend.

 

 

 

Club/Team News

 

 

 

Boys’ Basketball. Attention all boys interested in trying out for one of the Boys Basketball teams this year. Tryouts begin Monday, Nov. 5.

Freshman will try out from 3:30 – 5:30 in the Spartan Gym

Sophomores will try out from 3:30 – 5:30 in Gym 127

Varsity will try out from 5:30 – 8 pm in the Spartan Gym

In order to try out, you must have a physical on file in the Athletic Office and be registered for Boys Basketball on 8 to 18.

Girls’ Bowling. Ladies, thinking about going out for a winter sport?  Give Girl’s Bowling a try!  Tryouts begin Tuesday, November 13th.  Remember, you must sign up on the 8 to 18 Athletic Registration link in order to try out.  There are two levels of teams:  Fresh/Soph and Varsity.  Stop by room 260 to ask questions and pick up a game schedule and information sheet.  Bowlers of all ability level are encouraged to try out.

 

Girls’ Track & Field.  Ladies, the time has come to dust off your running shoes and begin our preseason workouts. Have you ever wondered how fast you can run, how high you can jump, or how far you can throw? There will be a meeting after school for all new and old athletes on Monday November 5th in the Junior/Senior Lounge. We will discuss days, times, and expectations of preseason. The preseason workouts start on November 13th and you must have an updated physical on file. Please stop by room 211 for additional information if you cannot make the meeting.

Vegan/Vegetarian Discussion Group: There is a new Vegan/Vegetarian discussion group that is looking for interested students! The purpose of this group is to provide OLCHS vegetarians and vegans with an opportunity to meet and socialize with other like minded students. You do not have to be vegetarian to attend! Activities include vegan potlucks, film sessions, related games and activities, and whatever else our members suggest. Meetings are with Mr. Brida MONDAYS after school in room 108! If you can't attend on Mondays, stop by for a minute to sign up for our virtual discussion group!
