Stuff You Need to Know

Blood Drive - You can earn 1 service hour for participating in the Blood Drive!
Help save a life and donate blood! OLCHS is hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday, April 10th from 9am-2pm in the Auditorium Gym 127.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 877-258-4825 or visit and use code OL94. Appointments are required! Please enter at Door 9 and you must wear a mask! Vitalant is offering antibody testing for everyone that donates!
College Rep Visits -  
Representatives from the following schools will be virtually visiting with Spartans this week:
Wednesday 3/31 – St. Xavier University (1:45 pm)
To attend a visit, please sign up to attend in Naviance. To do this:
1. Log into Naviance
2. Click on “Colleges” and “Colleges Home”
3. Scroll down to the bottom right, where you will see a list of college visits scheduled at OLCHS.
4. Select the visit you want to sign up for.
Registration will close one hour before the start of the visit. A link to the visit will be sent to all students registered at the start time of the virtual visit.

Interested in Becoming a Pilot

Fernando Jaramillo is a pilot and graduate of OLCHS. He is taking the time to today to talk with students about what it is like to be a pilot and what it takes to get there. Please contact Mrs. Szala today at to get the Web Link. The meeting will be held today at 1pm.

Club/Team News

Girls interested in playing soccer this Spring
The final week of off season conditioning continues this Tuesday and Thursday at the SAC from 5:15-6:30. You must be registered on 8to18, have a valid physical on file, and bring shin guards and cleats to the conditioning. Tryouts for the Girls Soccer Team Begin Monday April 5th from 5:30-7:30 on the Stadium Turf. Again you must be registered on and have a valid physical. Boys Volleyball Tryouts -
It's that time of year! Boys Volleyball tryouts are right around the corner!  Tryouts begin April 5th for all levels from 530-730pm in the Spartan gym.  Make sure to have an updated sports physical and be registered on the 8 to 18 website.

Summer Season Sports Tryout Information - 
Registration for the summer sports of Boys Volleyball, Track & Field, Boys Tennis, Softball, Girls Soccer, Baseball, and Wrestling is now open. Tryout dates, coach contact information, and registration is available at All students need to be registered and have a current physical on file with the Athletic Office in order to try out.

Drama Club - Are you interested in theater and drama? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be part of a theatre production? Check out Oak Lawn’s NEW Drama Club. Meet with other students who share your passion for the performing arts! Our next meeting will be FRIDAY, April 9th at 3pm. No previous theater experience necessary!
