Stuff You Need to Know

Did you know that 1 in 4 children in Cook County are at risk of hunger? Help us support the Greater Chicago Food Depository by making a donation to support this wonderful organization that fights hunger in Chicago everyday. A select group of students will be taking a field trip next week to the food depository and are excited to raise funds to support this cause. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Mrs. Lee in the counseling office or Mrs. Rafferty in room 160. Donations are due TODAY 3/16.

SADD club is raising awareness for National Sleep Awareness Week. From March 12th to the 18th: this week promotes better sleep to increase overall health and wellbeing! Here’s a piece of information important to know:

Sleep is needed for memory and learning. Teenagers perform better on mental tasks when they are well rested. Sleep allows the brain to act as a filter, retaining the important things and filtering out those unimportant things that happened during the daytime.

Cafeteria – Just a reminder…. You MUST have an ID in order to get breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria. If you do not have your ID with you, go to myid.olchs.org on your iPad and login with your school Google account. A QR code for the myid.olchs.org website is available near each cashier. If you receive a message that you don’t have a photo, please go to the Media Center to have a photo taken and get your ID printed.
