Stuff You Need to Know

Congratulations to the theatre program for a successful weekend at conference! Both competitive shows received Best in Fest with group interpretation cast members Orlando Ramirez and Max Cipriani, and contest play cast members Mariana Salazar, Mariam Chuli, Melanie Cabrera, Jet Pelaez, Emiliano Ruvalcaba, and Mustafa Trashani receiving All Conference Cast! Musicians Rosie Caprio and Haven Rupsch also had the honor of earning All Conference!! Huge congratulations to crew and tech for earning the “Techcellence” award!! Vasili Patrianakos, Kathryn Fragapane, Matthew Perry, and Shawn Perry received All Conference for their work in lights and sound!! Keep up the hard work and break a leg a sectionals!!!
Did you know that 1 in 4 children in Cook County are at risk of hunger? Help us support the Greater Chicago Food Depository by making a donation to support this wonderful organization that fights hunger in Chicago everyday. A select group of students will be taking a field trip next week to the food depository and are excited to raise funds to support this cause. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Mrs. Lee in the counseling office or Mrs. Rafferty in room 160. Donations are due 3/16.

SADD club is raising awareness for National Sleep Awareness Week. From March 12th to the 18th: this week promotes better sleep to increase overall health and wellbeing! Here’s a piece of information important to know:

The recommended sleep is 8-10 hours for teenagers; however around 7 out of 10 high schoolers do not get enough sleep on school nights.

Cafeteria – Just a reminder…. You MUST have an ID in order to get breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria. If you do not have your ID with you, go to on your iPad and login with your school Google account. A QR code for the website is available near each cashier. If you receive a message that you don’t have a photo, please go to the Media Center to have a photo taken and get your ID printed.  
Tech Help - If you’re having trouble logging into your classes or having any other tech issues, please email for tech assistance. If possible, include a screen shot of your issue.

College Rep Visits

Representatives from the following schools will be visiting OLCHS this week:
Monday, 3/13 – UIC, pd. 4/5
Wednesday, 3/15 – Governors State University, pd. 9 and St. Xavier University, pd. 10
Thursday, 3/16 – Bradley University, pd. 2 and Upper Iowa University, pd. 10
To attend a visit, please sign up to attend in Naviance. All passes must be approved in e-hall pass.
