From: Mr. DiFilippo and Mr. Gerny
Congratulations to the Scholastic Bowl Team for their great performances in the IHSA Regional at St. Rita on Monday night.  The Spartans started off the with a big victory over St. Laurence, in which the team scored over 500 points in this eye-popping win.  The Scholastic Bowl’s next opponent was the 2nd seed and conference foe Reavis.  The team came out strong against Reavis and advanced to the Regional Championship with a 490-120 victory.  The third match of the night was the Regional Championship against top seeded St. Rita. The two teams battled each other for every question and for the Regional title, unfortunately St. Rita won the extremely close match by one tossup question.  Please congratulate the following students on their great performances: John Unger, Brendan Gallian,  Yusra Abdelrahman, Quinn Haywood, Arvin Wallack, and Leena Abdelrahman. Mr. Gerny and Mr. DiFilippo are so extremely proud of all of you and look forward to building on this success.
