Blood Drive- You can earn 1 service hour for participating in the Blood Drive!
Help save a life and donate blood! OLCHS is hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday, Jan 30th from 9am-2pm in the Auditorium Gym 127. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 877-258-4825 or visit vitalant.org and use code OL94. Appointments are required! Please enter at Door 9 and you must wear a mask! Vitalant is offering antibody testing for everyone that donates!
 
College Rep Visits-
An Admissions representative from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising - Los Angeles will be available to meet virtually visiting with Spartans this Wednesday 1/27 at 1:00 pm.
 
To attend this visit, please sign up to attend in Naviance. To do this:
1. Log into Naviance
2. Click on “Colleges” and “Colleges Home”
3. Scroll down to the bottom right, where you will see a list of college visits scheduled at OLCHS.
4. Select the visit you want to sign up for.
 
Registration will close one hour before the start of the visit. A link to the visit will be sent to all students registered at the start time of the virtual visit. 
 
OLCHS iTeam- Calling All Geniuses!
Any student interested in becoming part of the OLCHS iTeam must complete this application.

The student technology internship program is designed for students who want to become technology learning resources in their school communities. Through the program, students develop advanced skills so they can offer support to faculty and peers who need help using Apple devices and creativity apps. By participating in the program, students make a difference to the learning organization and develop important life and work skills. This is a full-year credit-bearing course.

Club/Team News

Badminton Tryouts- The IHSA has moved the Badminton season to the winter. Tryouts will begin next week Wednesday, January 27th. If interested in joining Badminton, please make sure to register on 8to18 and have a current physical on file with the athletic office prior to tryouts. Registration details can be found on olchsathletics.com. If you have any questions, reach out to Coach Shafer (pshafer@olchs.org). Great opportunity for athletes currently not in a winter sport to try something new and get involved!
 
Debate Club- If you are interested in learning and talking and debating issues of interest, issues of impact, issues of importance, then this is the place for you. We gather together once a week on Monday 12:30, to learn the lovely art of expressing your ideas in an organized and impassioned manner. Get your ethos, pathos, and logos on here.
