Student Announcements, January 23, 2023

The Boys Bowling season came to a close this past weekend at the IHSA Sectional. We put up a good effort but were not able to advance forward. It was a memorable season in which much was accomplished. This includes a repeat conference championship, 5 All-Conference bowlers, Ramiro Garcia was the Varsity individual champion, and he bowled a perfect 300 game against Oak Forest. We had top 10 medalists at every invite, came in 2nd place at the IHSA Regional, and qualified as a team for the IHSA Sectional for the 3rd time in a row. We return many experienced bowlers next season and the future is bright for the bowling team.

 

Good luck to our three seniors Julian Amador, Ramiro Garcia, and Brandon Mariano you will be missed!

Good morning, OLCHS.  Our school is hosted our annual Global Society Festival on February 21^st through the 24^th.  During the week, we celebrate the cultural diversity of students and the staff.  We are looking for individuals or groups that would like to share their cultural dances and attire with the OLCHS school community.  If you are interested in performing or participating in our cultural fashion show, please see Mr. Yerian in room 357, Ms. Yusuf in room 259 or Ms. Torres in room 356.  Come be a part of this exciting celebration.

 

Cafeteria – Just a reminder…. You MUST have an ID in order to get breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria. If you do not have your ID with you, go to myid.olchs.org on your iPad and login with your school Google account. A QR code for the myid.olchs.org website is available near each cashier. If you receive a message that you don’t have a photo, please go to the Media Center to have a photo taken and get your ID printed.
