Need service hours?

This Monday, celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by participating in one of many MLK Day of Service events in the area! Each year, on the third Monday in January, the MLK Day of Service is observed as a "day on, not a day off." MLK Day of Service is intended to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions to social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King's vision of a "Beloved Community."

Check the service learning calendar for projects in our area, including the Cook County Forest Preserve, The Bridge Teen Center, Lake Katherine and the Community Nutrition Network. You can also search for service projects online at www.nationalservice.gov.
