Good Morning Spartans! The annual JCAB Lock-In will be held on Saturday, February 25th from 6-10 PM here at the school. We will be hosting open gyms, athletic tournaments, an open pool, video gaming, movies, concessions, and more! Tickets for this event will be sold ONLINE ONLY for $10 through the Webstore!  The QR code to purchase a ticket can be found on the school website and on flyers posted throughout the building.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.  Only OLCHS students may attend.  A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to support Gigi's Playhouse of Tinley Park. The theme for this year's Lock-In is "pajama party".  Wear your most comfortable jammies.  All grade levels are invited, so bring your friends and we’ll see you there!

Each day during Black History Month, the Black Student Union will share information about an individual who has made significant contributions to American history and culture.

February 23 Kenny Washington, born August 31, 1918, was an American professional football player and the first African American to sign a contract with an NFL team in the modern era. He signed with the Los Angeles Rams in 1946. During his second season, he led the league in yards per carry and scored a 92-yard touchdown, which remains the Rams team record. When he retired in 1948, 80,000 people attended his final game and the entire stadium gave him a standing ovation.
