Stuff You Need to Know

To all staff and students: The Spartan Sisterhood and Social Action Club will be collecting new or gently used blankets and sleeping bags to donate to those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Drop off any donations to rooms 32, 378 and 374. Thank you.

Good Morning Spartans! The annual JCAB Lock-In will be held on Saturday, February 25th from 6-10 PM here at the school. We will be hosting open gyms, athletic tournaments, an open pool, video gaming, movies, concessions, and more! Tickets for this event will be sold ONLINE ONLY for $10 through the Webstore!  The QR code to purchase a ticket can be found on the school website and on flyers posted throughout the building.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.  Only OLCHS students may attend.  A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to support Gigi's Playhouse of Tinley Park.

The theme for this year's Lock-In is "pajama party".  Wear your most comfortable jammies.  All grade levels are invited, so bring your friends and we’ll see you there!

Each day during Black History Month, the Black Student Union will share information about an individual who has made significant contributions to American history and culture.

February 22 Serena Williams was born September 26, 1981 and grew up in Compton California. She revolutionized women’s tennis with her powerful style of play and won 23 grand slam titles–more than any other woman or man during the open era. Williams is also a four-time Olympic gold medalist. She is widely considered to be the greatest tennis player of all time.
